We keep it simple: we collect information to respond to you and to help nonprofits when they ask. We don't sell data, we don't spam, and we don't hold onto information longer than we need to. If you have questions, we'll answer them.
What we collect
When you contact Blue Heron Nonprofit Consulting or submit our free grant-readiness checklist, we collect:
- From the contact form: your name, organization name, email address, and message.
- From the fillable grant-readiness checklist: your email address and your responses to the assessment questions.
We don't collect information you don't give us. We don't use tracking pixels, cookies, or other hidden collection methods beyond what's necessary to serve the site.
Why we collect it
We collect this information for two reasons:
- To respond to your message or question directly.
- To allow Margot Holmes to personally review your submitted checklist, understand your nonprofit's readiness, and follow up with focused guidance.
We do not use your information for automated marketing, sales outreach, or any other purpose beyond what you would expect when you submit the form.
How we use and store it
Your information is used only as described above. We store submitted information only for as long as necessary to respond to you and to provide the service you requested, and we do not share or sell your personal information to third parties.
Third parties and tools
When you submit a form or the checklist, the information is transmitted through our website form service, sent through our email delivery provider, and stored securely on our website platform.
The site may use an analytics tool to understand how visitors find and use it. Any analytics we run collects only aggregate, non-identifying information about site usage, not anything that identifies you personally beyond what you provide through our forms. We'll name the specific tool here, and describe what it collects and how to opt out, once that's finalized.
Your choices
You have the right to know what information we hold about you, and the right to request that we delete it. To make a request or ask questions about how your data is handled, email margot.holmes@blueheronnpconsulting.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line.
